3x3 Makes Sex is a film that asks the question, "What’s on people’s minds as they go through their daily rounds?" The answer — altogether now — is "Sex, sex, and sex." Freud made the same point but not half as explicitly as this film makes it. A frustrated housewife — masturbating vigorously to take time while hubby’s at the office —decides to invite a couple of other frustrated housewives over for a snatch-klatch. (Which beats a Tupperware party any day.) So they all throw back some brewskies, slip into a somewhat lesbonic mood, then sic their beavers on each other. Later on, their hubbies take a turn at beaver-trapping, but not before the milkman and other delivery studs have dabbled in the fur trade. This is the real First Wives Club. These liberated ladies give licentiousness a good name. And, by taking it in the ass, they show us what’s on our minds. Which can’t be said about Freud.
